With a background in advertising, Guillaume Gelley has developed a visual language over more than twenty years, shaped by light, composition and materiality.

Photography, film and art direction are different expressions of the same approach: observing a place, an architecture, a person or an object, then revealing its presence rather than simply documenting it.

Since 2020, his work has increasingly focused on gardens and landscape architecture, exploring the relationships between architecture, landscape and the living environment.

Over six years with English Garden, he further developed this approach through the photography and filming of numerous projects across the French Riviera.

Guillaume Gelley Studio now brings together his commissioned work in photography, art direction and film, across architecture, landscape, portraiture, editorial and brand imagery.

Selected Work with English Garden

Photography and film created by Guillaume Gelley as part of his work with English Garden, a landscape design and outdoor living studio based in Valbonne on the French Riviera.

This body of work explores Mediterranean gardens, landscape architecture, private estates, planting, swimming pools, terraces and outdoor spaces, in dialogue with landscape designers, architects, craftsmen and leading international design houses.
